'A big smile cannot help too much,' TFA head says on Boudou

After assuring that the 2010 Argentina debt-swap offer "is not better than the previous one," Nicola Stock made an ironic comment on Economy Minister Amado Boudou during a telephone interview with The Financial Times.

According to the head of Task Force Argentina (TFA), representing 180,000 Italian bondholders with US$4.4 billion in defaulted bonds, the Argentine official "is a nice looking man, he smiles a lot. There could be an elderly lady who is seduced, but if you see you're not getting your money back, a big smile cannot help too much."

"Mr Boudou, who stresses there will be no third offer, will be travelling to Italy again at the close of the swap. 'I don't know if it will help,' says Mr Stock," according to the financial newspaper.
