Boudou urges opposition to debate 2010 Budget bill in 'rational' way

Economy Minister Amado Boudou urged members of the opposition to debate the 2010 Budget bill in a 'rational' way.
If the government-backed bill is not passed by the Congress, the administration of Cristina Fernández is to implement other constitutional mechanisms, according to Boudou.

Boudou blasted the opposition's initiative regarding the 2010 Budget bill, and assured its passing would represent "making a 180 degree turn in the policies implemented by the current administration."

The official also praised the work being done by the government, specifying that it has "remarkably improved the public works' area." "Budget policies have entitled our country to guarantee political sovereignty," Boudou assured.

Boudou went deeper in the defense and provoked opposition leaders: "Nobody seems to be concerned about export duties anymore," he said. "They appear as a regular budgetary item in every opposition initiative," he added.
