Bovespa falls 1%

The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance declined 1.04 percent to 65,981.86 points.
It drops 1.5 percent in August; 3 percent so far in 2010. 

The US dollar meanwhile fell 0.17 percent to R$1.765 in the Brazilian exchange market
