Argentine first lady Cristina Fernández de Kirchner won a comfortable victory. A strange phenomenon of family transfer from husband to wife has established. With quorum obtained yesterday in the House of Deputies, the Kirchner achieved almost the entire power of the legislature. The presidential couple consolidates in this way an obvious guardianship over the three powers of Argentine Constitution: something not ideal. It was the decisive role of Buenos Aires province which guaranteed Cristina's triumph. Despite breaking up and disputes, the opposition gathered most citizens of the country and the runner-up Elisa Carrio managed to go beyond 22 per cent.
