With depressed bonds and stocks, euro has become one of the financial deals of the year for Argentine investors. Anyone buying the European currency with pesos at the beginning of the year and now deciding to sell it will reap almost 15 per cent. Yesterday, euro closed at ARG$4.59, though it had touched ARG$4.60 on Friday. The other side of the coin is naturally the continuous depreciation of Argentine peso. Not only has peso devalued against dollar (as opposed to what has happened across the globe), but also against euro, though in a stronger manner.
