Farmers cut road number 14 on Thursday with a farming machine.
Official dialogue between the upper echelons of Argentine rural entities and government starts today. It follows secret meetings held yesterday. However, farming bases distrusted these gatherings, holding strike and roadblocks last night, despite conciliatory request of Argentine president Cristina de Kirchner.
On the other hand, the head of state says that she cannot pull out measures, but that she invites farmers to talk to modify them. This proposal does not convince farmers: they insist that government should first suspend the last change in export tariffs to afterwards cancel strike and negotiate.
Less tension is observed at the political level: yesterday, only picketers of Luis D'Elia parked in Plaza de Mayo.
