Fiscal surplus halved in February

February's fiscal surplus totalled ARG$ 1.602,9 billions, informed Treasury Secretary Juan Carlos Pezoa during a press conference in the Ministry of Economy.

This figure represents a 49-per cent drop with respect to the fiscal surplus posted during February 2008, which hit ARG$ 3.178 billions.

Between January and February 2009, fiscal surplus totalled ARG$ 3.605 billions, whereas it had accumulated ARG$ 6.568 billions during the same period in 2008.

Last February, revenues amounted to ARG$ 17.703 billions, whereas expenditures reached ARG$ 16.099 billions.

During the first two months in the current year, revenues hit ARG$ 37.066 billions, expenditures touched ARG$ 33.459 billions.

Financial surplus in February reached ARG$ 638 million; accumulated surplus totalled ARG$ 1.683 billions.
