The executive has reached an agreement with farmers and main trade chains to take potato price to ARG$1.40. To achieve such end, "trade chains will receive a ARG$0.30 compensation per kilogram." "There will be a budget contribution hovering around ARG$30 millions," according to reports. Government is "analysing the possibility of setting in motion a similar mechanism in tomato, a closely followed product."
