Representatives of the ruling party got worrier when their poll guides told them that the discussion about truthfulness of price indexes was damaging the image of Argentine presidential candidate Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in some sectors. Such deterioration has been checked during the last days. Government itself has stirred up that discussion with the aim of hiding figures revealing inflation increase. Now, persistence of government and Cristina to advocate Argentine Statistics and Census Institute (INDEC) creates a deep sense of unease, since daily life demands amounts different from officially-rigged cost of living. Such manipulation gets many annoyed and distracts votes the ruling party considered steady.
