Merkel comes to the region, though dodges Argentina

German foreign affairs minister, Angela Merkel, will fly to Lima to take part in the European Union-Latin American Summit.

She will also visit Brazil, Mexico and Colombia, "the most important countries of the region," Merkel said.

The German aide declined invitation of Argentine president Cristina de Kirchner.
