Stock collapse causes worldwide panic among investors

Yesterday, world markets were shaken by tremors with the US as its epicentre. Rumors had it that the major world economy was heading towards recession. Wall Street fell 3 per cent and dragged down all stock markets around the world. Investors were selling off their holdings no matter the price. A clear signal of the prevailing panic. Argentine stocks felt the impact and dropped 3.6 per cent. This was inevitable. Not even São Paulo was able to escape: Brazilian stocks dropped 4 per cent. Bovespa index has already lost 35 per cent since it reached maximum figures two months ago.
