Christmas purchases up 25% in 2004 on year

Argentina's Federation of Chambers and Commercial Centers reported on Thursday that Christmas purchases were up 25 per cent in 2004 from the previous year.

Shopping centers and supermarkets located in northern Buenos Aires reported the highest increase, as well as those in tourist provinces such as Cordoba, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Rosario and Bariloche, among others.
