G-20 and EU seek to advance in negotiations at the WTO

The G-20 and the European Union signed Friday a joint communique in which they stated the purpose of advancing in the negotiations within the scope of the Doha round of world trade talks organized by the World Trade Organization.

The document was signed after a two-day talk in Brazilia attended by representatives of the G-20 and the European Union's External Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy.

It was reported that the EU's official made a clear and open presentation on the European Union position regarding all the issues included in the Doha agenda, focusing on agriculture.
