The king Juan Carlos de Borbón has returned to Spain after his mediation between Argentina and Uruguay failed. Today, the Finnish paper pulp mill will release the first batch of cellulose. With the Uruguayan city of Fray Bentos already perceiving the typical horrible smell emanating from the mill, the Spanish president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero tried to reopen talks between the two countries. Not only are Argentina and Uruguay affected: the King has also involved Spain in a conflict heading nowhere.
