Interior Minister Anibal Fernandez stated on Wednesday that the Executive Branch may file a claim against Correo Argentino mail company if irregularities in the ballot counting of last Sunday's Buenos Aires city municipal elections are proved. He also said the government will hire surpervisors in the runoff.
Candidate Mauricio Macri rejected these accusations saying they are "campaign arguments." His representatives will request today the Electoral Justice to include in the final counting more than 50 thousand votes which have not been counted in the provisionary one. This would give Macri a difference of more than 5.5 per cent over his rival, current Mayor Anibal Ibarra.
