López Murphy was Alfonsín's target in his launching campaign for senator

Yesterday, Raúl Alfonsín launched his candidacy for senator for the province of Buenos Aires. With his speech, he attacked, without naming him, the new Economy Minister, López Murphy.

He boasted about fighting "against the fundamentalism of markets" and about doing away with the "lack of action" left, according to his point of view, by "ten years of neoliberalism."

The former president insisted also on the vote of abstention about Cuba.

After the act, Alfonsín left the country for ten days.

Murphy is now suffering what Machinea had suffered when Alfonsín talked about "not paying the debt."

It is another bad sign to reduce country risk and for Alfonsín to have chances in the elections given that Buenos Aires electorate rejects those courageous statements.
