Singer Sandro dies aged 64

Popular ballad singer Roberto Sánchez -also known as Sandro- died Monday from complications from lung and heart transplant surgery at the Italian Hospital in the city of Mendoza.

Sandro's wake is being held at the Hall of the Lost Steps in the Congress where thousands line up to pay their respects to "Argentina's Elvis".

Sandro was born in 1945. He was the first Latin American to sing in the Madison Square Garden
