El próximo 7 de diciembre se entregarán los premios The Game Awards, premiación que en los últimos años se ha impuesto cómo la más importante en la industria de los videojuegos. Geoff Keighley, creador de la entrega, anunció los nominados a los mejores juegos del año a través de distintas categorías.

La premiación es muy anticipada ya que el 2023 no fue un año más en la industria del gaming. Estuvo marcada por decenas de juegos de alta calidad, haciendo de esta una de las premiaciones más competitivas que se tenga memoria.

La compañía que acumuló más nominaciones fue Nintendo (15), seguido de PlayStation (13) y Xbox, Bethesda y Activision Blizzard con (10). La sensación general en la industria es que el ganador del juego del año estará entre Alan Wake II, Baldur's Gate 3 y The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
